'Prima verblijf, een beetje gedateerd maar met karakter. We moesten een kruip door sluip door route afleggen door gangetjes en over trappetjes om onze kamer op de eerste verdieping te bereiken. We vonden het wel charmant maar je moet niet slecht ter been zijn!'

'Our first time at the Blue Bell, but won’t be our last! Really comfortable beds and pillows in a nice room with a lovely new bathroom. Food was excellent and all the staff, from Keith , the landlord, down, are friendly, kind and helpful, and all were happy in their jobs. We will be back! '

'An impressive looking property especially at night. The Concierge staff are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a good feel with lifts to both floors if required. 'Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. '

'Very easy going and comfortable hotel, beautifully located alongthe river Tweed. It’s well worth staying a couple of nights and use the hotel as a base for some beautiful hikes and sight-seeing. We loved the food in the restaurant. Best we had in Schotland. Feesh fish, crispy vegetables and a great breakfast ontbe 1st floor with a stunning view in the river. You can even bring your dogs!'

'Parking was easy as was the check-in. Very welcoming. Room was very clean and had everything we required for 1 night stay. Was late arriving and early leaving so did not get a chance to try the restaurant. Was very quiet for been so close to a road so had a very peaceful and relaxing sleep. I would return again.'
