'The room was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed, bathroom was also spotless and again had everything needed The staff are friendly and made us feel welcomed from arrival. The only thing that could be made better would be an addition of a full drench shower because there was certainly room for one'

'Upgrade to room 10 was excellent but restaurant staff were grumpy and not lgbt friendly. The person who checked me in who has an office in the stairwell was the opposite and as a regular customer and guest was approachable, lgbt friendly and use tge correct pronouns to address myself. Room was massive, comfortable and in the 17 th century part of the former Manor House with a courtyard view '

'The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time.'
