'The cabin was very small. Lots of bugs and spiders. Ceiling plaster peeling off. No TV instructions and barely worked when we figured it out. No wifi or cell service at all. Had to drive a few miles away to pull up email with the code. Too small and just not what expected.'

The stairs are steep — almost more of a ladder — so unless kids are a little older or good at obeying their parents, I’d offer a bit of caution is required. But the cottage was quiet and lovely for our 2-day visit to Sweet Briar College, especially since lodging was hard to find. Communication with the manager was clear and easy via SMS and email. 'This is a gorgeous house and property. Meticulously maintained, well stocked, spacious and comfortable, lovely location, beautiful all around. The house is on the top of the hill with amazing views and lots of windows to enjoy it. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen seems fully stocked for easy cooking. It was an easy and beautiful drive to nearby cideries and Cville. A real gem, hope to stay there again.'
