'Stayed here for a weekend while hiking Old Rag in Shenandoah. Cozy little place that was well equipped with all the amenities we needed! It's conveniently located close to Shenandoah as well as plenty of vineyards. Would not hesitate to stay here again the next time we're in the area!'

'The home met all our family’s needs during a weekend stay for a party at nearby farm. The layout and outdoor spaces were a bonus. In fact, the view of Hawksbill Mountain from the porch while enjoying our morning coffee: priceless. And importantly easy access to Rt 29 and the town but yet secluded and bucolic.'

'General cleanliness. Ceiling tiles need to be replaced. Multiple spiders/bugs throughout. There was also a mug growing mold that was left by the kitchen sink. We ended up not staying over night. We just used the space to get a ready for the wedding we were attending in the area. '

'The property was clean and had everything we needed including some extras. The host was wonderful and helped us when we were in a bind. The communication with the host was fantastic. The location was also great; quiet and secluded spot but very close to Shenandoah National Park. We had a very nice stay.'

Then, after I thought all was set for our trip, the owner completely cancelled our stay, citing that s/he thought I was asking for May of 2027, not May 2026. This was well in advance so why s/he thought I was looking for 14-15 months later is not understandable. I never saw the property,'

'Very cute cozy cabin in the woods. No bathroom facility in the cabin so be prepared to use compostable toilet about 40 feet away. It’s like a step down from glamping. I loved the animals on the property and there are some decent hikes there as well. Great location and close to Old Rag!'

'My hubby, myself and pup spent a two night stay. We had two issues that the host apologized and rectified. Cabin was clean. The road leading up to it is steep and gravel with some hairpin turns (all mentioned in VRBO). It was quite unnerving for me, but hubby didn't seem to mind. Front deck does have a large pine tree that takes away from the view, but side yard is nice. Hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking. The two spa robes were a nice touch. Large tv with Wi-Fi. 'Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, but received a credit for that. The dishes and cookware were sticky as if whoever was there previously did not completely wash them.
The gas fireplace was turned off, but he owner came quickly to ignite it.
Over-all we would rent it again. The cabin is in a beautiful spot and only about a 40 minute drive to Skyline drive.'
