The Good - We left it to a week to organise a cot for the room. I was extremely pleased when they emailed me a couple days prior that they had sourced a cot for us. They were fully transparent with communication - I had enquired about parking (more on this below) and they answered with honest truthfulness, the staff were all polite and the cleaners were extremely friendly with my child having to stop what they were doing (cleaning) to wave and interact with her. The cleaners even went above and beyond to ensure we were fully stocked and on a particular day did our washing in the kitchen sink to our amazement. 10/10.
The bad: this is by definition a “budget” hotel. The carpets were old and in many places damaged (which is no good for a crawling toddler) - the furniture was unsafe and dated - they felt cheap. The kitchen utensils were long overdue for replacements, all low tier stainless steel, the inverter stove top had all its markings removed so it was a bit of a guess game which plate was active.
The ugly - there was visible mould on the kitchen, in the bathroom. While it’s evident the cleaners do a fantastic job there’s only limited surface cleaning they can do. The adjacent room had music going and we could hear it quite clearly, view is absolutely non existent - our view the apartment building next door, no beach breeze. Standard Sydney view. Too many as*holes with loud vehicles and modded bikes on the main road. And you need to pay $15 per night for parking?!?! Sheesh
