What a beautiful place, right next to the beach (just a short walk through the bush from the back lawn). The house was very clean and comfortable (the photos dont do it justice) and Rob and Leanne were the perfect hosts. Thanks for having us- what a magic spot!

Lovely beach getaway
Beautiful property with a stunning beach view. There is access to the beach from the backyard. Very clean, simple with all kitchen appliances, Linen & towels provided. During our stay, the lovely owner came down to say hello and to make sure we lacked nothing. We had a wonderful and relaxed stay with complete privacy. We forgot one of our belonging behind which was kindly returned to us by the owner. Thank you Chelsea and Ron, we will definitely come and stay again in the future.

Brilliant views via fully retractable glass doors with the bonus of seeing whales.2 beautiful dogs who interacted when they wanted 😂. Perfectly adequate accommodation with everything you need located under the owner’s living space. Shared laundry facilities and back yard. Ron and Leanne tried to be as unobtrusive as possible but obviously noise is going to be an issue at times. At the same time you knew they were available if you had any problems. On street parking. Steep access down the side of the house to access the apartment. Also steep access to get to and from the beach but definitely worth the effort. Would benefit from a small kitchen table and chairs rather than bar table and chairs. It is one of those places that grows on you the longer you stay. We stayed 6 nights and were very sad to leave. Would definitely consider staying again if we returned to Kiama in the future. Great location for easy access to Kiama, Berry, Gerringong and Wollongong.

Beautiful little piece of Paradise
We absolutely loved this place for a weekend away, just what we needed to recharge the batteries. The view is spectacular, and loved falling asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves. We will be looking at coming back here next time we are in the Kiama region. PS the bonus is beautiful pups on site that came and visited us every now and then, and even let us play ball with them while having drinks out the back, watching the ocean.

Room with a View
We had a lovely few days, unfortunately the weather wasn't great but we still enjoyed ourselves. Great location with beautiful views of Jones Beach. The perfect size getaway for myself and two teenagers. My kids loved it when the dogs came downstairs to visit them.

This was exactly what we needed, the place was well equipped, comfortable with perfect views from the garden over Jones beach and Cathedral rocks. Well located, central to Kiama and Minamurra. We liked exploring the many beaches, paddling the inlets and walking up to the rain forest waterfalls. The home owners were welcoming and freindly. Would reccomend this to others.

Short Stay
We had a short two night stay, the location and views are very impressive and great value for money. The unit had everything we needed and is only 10 mins from Kiama shops. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. Would very recommend.

Great location and views
This was a fantastic place for a break for a couple (or family with a kid or two). Ron and Leanne were friendly but unobtrusive hosts. The property is clean and well set up. The location is superb with oustanding views of Jones Beach from inside the property and the outdoor chairs. There's a path to the beach and there are many lovely walks in the area. The local IGA means you have the option not to leave Kiama Downs at all if you want a complete getaway.

Excellent location
The location is fantastic and the place was very clean. It was very relaxing cooking the BBQ and sitting by the fire pit with tha amazing view. The walk down to the beach was a little steep for my 80 year old mum but ok for me and the kids. The owners upstairs have dogs and that was a surprise to find them coming into the yard at times but they are lovely and friendly and my kids liked them. If you have allergies to dogs or are scared of them just mention it to the owners for them to keep them inside their place and that wouldn't be a problem. The owner Leanne was very friendly. I would be happy to stay here again. Very happy.

Lovely property with fantastic location.
This is a lovely beachside unit with everything I wanted. There was even a piano: such a shame I can’t play! Jones Beach is a one minute walk right outside the property - the walk is a little steep, but easy. The Kiama coastal walk is easily accessible from the property - walks to Cathedral Rocks and Bombo quarry were highlights of my weekend trip. Leanne greeted me, and was friendly and a wealth of information about the spectacular walks and local facilities. This is a lovely place to stay - wake early and watch the sunrise: spectacular!

Such a beautiful part of the world
Incredible views out over the water - my daughter and i slept on the bunk beds in the main room so we could wake to the sound of the ocean. The hosts were incredibly helpful which made our stay even better :-)

Very clean property. The kitchen is limited as there is no stove but microwave, toaster & kettle are supplied. The main bedroom is gloomy with little daylight but very roomy. The views of the beach are outstanding.

It was in a beautiful location, being able to sit outside on the comfy furniture and look out at the beach with a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Very close to the main part of town and the apartment was well equipped for our long weekend. A very memorable stay and great hosts. Thanks very much :)

Great location with easy access to beach. Very helpful hosts on site. Only small criticism is the unit would benefit from a better equiped kitchen, a dishwasher and inside cooking facilities. However I knew this before the stay and outdoor BBQ works fine. Would recommend stay.

Gorgeous place to stay 😀 Very nice area and everything is within reach, IGA down the road, 5 min drive to Minnamurra river, 8 min to Kiama central (eg. Wollies, restaurants...etc) & Blowhole lookout , and only 15min to Shellharbour shopping center (MYER, Kmart, fish market...) Ron and the family are very friendly and even there’s shared areas, they give you privacy and own space. I was a little worried that there’s no kitchen, but that quickly changed when I started cooking eggs and bacon on the barby while enjoying the early beach view and sounds, and nothing better then chops and sausage sizzle 😉 The beach was a short walk down through the bush from the rear yard, but it is very very steep at some areas, so someone with a back or hip problem like me, it is a little difficult and I recommend just drive down the road instead. I disagree with some previous feedback, Ron and his house hold were very quite, didn’t hear them at all, but due to flooring type, you can hear footsteps and chairs dragged across the floor at times. The space was relatively clean, unfortunately I did find cereal and raisins between the coach cushions that I cleaned, and needed to give the barby a scrub before use, otherwise quite clean. Also I don’t think the smoke alarm was operational, as the lid was open. All in all, a wonderful place to stay, in the middle of everything with killer view, totally recommend it and we would return when we can 😀 Thanks Ron & Leanne for sharing your home with us.

Location location location! Firepit with ocen views did it for us!
We loved our short stay at Kiama Downs. It’s a great location and a gateway to both Minnamurra and Kiama located on a lovely beach (only short stroll downhill). Property itself was simple and nice. Cooktop would have been useful, but the big backyard BBQ was sufficient for our cooking needs. Except little bit of general noise, as owners are living on the top.
