'Centrally located well upkept hostel in the CBD of Melbourne. Staff is welcoming, rooms are spacious are very “homey”. A limited breakfast is provided, yet it is served by a very welcoming and friendly staff member providing an additional level of hospitality. '

'Place was near the station which was very convenient. Rooms are quite dated but with what you pay for it is really not bad at all. Staff was very nice. Toilets unfortunately always had pee on them when I stayed there. Does tend to get noisy with all the cars if your room is next to a road. Also have to give a deposit for a key which isn't the best for a solo female traveller.'

The people were friendly and sociable (aside from the host taking my phone off airplane mode when I asked for the wifi password; $20, kaching, for roaming!) but the home… hygiene was an issue from the kitchen to bathroom (bring your own toilet paper), the bedsheet was laid down, not big enough to be tucked, mosquitoes in the room all night, even a closed (?) door could not keep out the pot smell from the...

'Definitely not for Karen’s but not hostel is. The guy running has great morals and stands up for what’s right. Super easy guy too get along with and makes you feel safe and comfortable. We actually ended up extending due too the 24/7 in house security. Top bloke!'

'Het hostel springt er niet echt uit. De locatie is oké, maar niet buitengewoon. Soms zat er iemand bij de receptie, die slecht Engels sprak. Keuken is oké, maar er is weinig ruimte om te zitten. Ze hebben wel een TV kamer en veel DVD's, maar niet echt een plek om lekker te zitten. Geen slecht hostel, maar ook niet super.'
