For a slower pace of life, visit historic sites such as Castle Howard (11 miles), Rievaulx Abbey (13 miles), Byland Abbey (8 miles) or spend the day in the city of York (13.5 miles) and meander through the cobbled 'Shambles' where you'll discover an abundance of unique shops, tea rooms, eateries and the magnificence of York Minster. Foodies will also delight at the choice of fine dining restaurants, country pubs and great cafes within a few miles of the cottage.

On arriving at this single-level, tastefully furnished cottage, step into the pretty, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
