We did not have a car and easily walked or took city buses to/from the train station and attractions. It was so close to the city centre that even my 5-year-old could walk from the house to the Minster and back without complaint. 'In a nice quiet neighbourhood on the outskirts of York, with ample parking. This lovingly maintained townhouse was the perfect starting point for our city trip to York. A 15 minute walk by some fine architecture takes you to the heart of the city. Perfect for a family getaway. The connecting walls are a bit thin however, so you there is no ABSOLUTE silence when the neighbours are home.'
