'Walmgate cottage is an excellent base for a short trip to York. It is a 10 minute walk from the centre of the city, which means it is pretty quiet. The cottage was warm and cosy, and everything was clean. 'This was an excellent property, immaculate in fact, plenty of storage ,everything was spotlessly clean, modern and well maintained. Beautiful bedrooms , comfy beds, loads of storage again . Everything had been well thought out . Good enclosed garden great for our dog . Margaret the owner was very helpful , the property was in an excellent position for visiting the surrounding area and Kirk Hammerton itself was a beautiful village and we only wish we could have stayed longer !'
