'Prachtige locatie, mooi historisch pand met geweldige Engelse tuin en park. Met de bus op 7 min. van York, recht aan de bushalte. Al een tweede verblijf in dit hotel, en is allen maar verbeterd. Keuken ronduit fantastisch, prachtig dineren bij kaarslicht waar je volledig in de watten wordt gelegd. Wel iets van deftige kledij te voorzien.
Gezellige bibliotheek voor een 'afternoon tea', voor je in de spa of de gym duikt. Massages ook goed in prijs/kwaliteit.

'Greated very nicely room was fine could now start to upgrade paintwork on bathroom door not good water overfkow from showerr baseplate not been high enough stand on towel wet through cabinnet doors under television not good pillow rock hard but service and breakfast first class I was in room 103 and the noise from the lifts later at night and first thing in the morning was not very good but ocerall all ok'

'Had a fantastic nights stay at this guesthouse and already looking at booking again. Room was great, tea and coffee making facilities along with shower gel, shampoo and plenty of towels. Check in was easy…just one phone call and code was given to gain entry to property. Can’t wait to visit again. '

'Great 2 night stay, slight issue with Expedia which Tony sorted out for us swiftly, great service and a fantastic room, luxurious pillows and bedding/mattress so slept so well and didn’t hear any outside noise. 'Communications before during and after our stay was superb. Our room was spacious spotless and free from any other guest noise. The small treats in the room were a nice touch. The only slight issue was no shower gel in the bathroom so I had to use my wife’s. At least it made me smell sweet . Unfortunately due to our early start we didn’t have breakfast which did smell really nice. We are doing the York 10k event again and will stay here preferably room 14 '

"The service from the staff was very good: friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a lot to choose from. The room was a bit small for a familyroom in a hotel with 4 stars. Also warm. The parking was in the weekend full so we had to spend 28 pound for a parkingticket."
