    Gelegen op een prachtige bosrijke locatie met uitzicht op de boerderij eendenvijver, dit is een ansichtkaart instelling. Het comfortabel ingerichte huisje is alles op een niveau, met een tuin met gazon en paddock om buiten te dineren. Er zijn vele wandelingen vanaf de deur en een schat aan historische bezienswaardigheden binnen handbereik - Rievaulx en Byland Abbeys, Nunnington Hall en tuinen en Duncombe Park. De prachtige marktsteden Helmsley en Thirsk bieden alledaagse winkels, pubs, restaurants en tearooms en de schilderachtige resorts aan de oostkust van Whitby en Scarborough liggen op een klein eindje rijden. Voor stoomliefhebbers is een rit op de North York Moors-conserveringslijn een must.

    Met volledige centrale verwarming en bestaande uit:
    Zitkamer: met elektrisch haard effect brand, Freeview-tv, dvd en slaapbank voor af en toe een extra gast.
    Keuken / eetkamer: met fornuis, magnetron, koelkast, wasmachine en strijkijzer.
    Slaapkamer 1: met een tweepersoonsbed.
    Badkamer: met douche boven een bad en toilet.


    Kinderbedje beschikbaar. Beddengoed en handdoeken worden verstrekt. Roken toegestaan (alleen buiten). Eigen watervoorziening. Tuin met gazon en paddock. Eigen parkeerplaats voor 1 auto. Omdat dit een werkende boerderij is, betreuren we dat huisdieren niet kunnen worden ondergebracht. Niet roken.

    Omdat deze accommodatie op een boerderij ligt, zijn huisdieren of kinderen niet toegestaan. Er zijn druppels en een vijver op het terrein. Er is een privé watervoorziening bij deze accommodatie.

We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage.

We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage. Extremely peaceful, well kept and so much better than expected. The area is stunning too. Really comfortable bed. The cottage is warm and well managed. We hadn't realised that there wasn't any wifi on the property and its worth noting that there is also very limited phone signal (none for me and my partner could pick up some in the farm yard) Overall better than expected. We won't hesitate to go back and explore further

The cottage is lovely. It's very quiet, being set in a rural area, but had almost everything we needed, in the way of equipment. The only thing we found the kitchen lacked was a sieve for straining rice. There are even storage containers for leftovers, or picnics. The lounge was large and comfortable, with a large screen TV, but there is no phone signal or WiFi within the property. This was not a problem for us, as we were happy to take a break from the rest of the world! The bedroom was also quite spacious, with plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfortable, with a foam topped mattress. No problem with noisy bedsprings as some people have previously mentioned. The outside of the property is pretty and well maintained and is set within the farm. A few animals can be seen from the windows. The owner and their family, are very friendly and helpful too.

The actual accommodation is better than most but it requires some tlc. When we arrived the fire did not work, the fridge milk shelf was broken, the toilet seat was also broken. The bed was very comfortable. It has to be pointed out that the cottage is in the farm yard, there is a farm dog a couple of metres away. It has to be said that Alfie is lovely, well trained and very quiet. What we missed most was a mobile and Wi-fi signal, it is a poor reception area and the local towns are the best places for mobile phone reception.
