'The hotel is set in an ancient dwelling built around a courtyard. While our room retained its original ancient nature, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, on the other hand, was modern and there was no lacking hot water. The staff was friendly and helpful. 'The heritage hotel is great, the hidden entrance will bring you inside the Ming dynasty court to discover this little gem. Is like a jump in the Emperial Time. The service is polite and welcoming, but they don't have an appropriate information material to give to the clients about the local tourist attractions and how to reach them, even they can rent you the hotel's bycicles. The rooms are great, we stay in a cozy suite, but without fridge and mirrors except in the bathroom.'

'A delightful boutique hotel right in the heart of the old city. The road to the hotel is pedestrianised with cobble stones, but the hotel sent a member of staff with a flatbed trolley to collect our luggage from the taxi drop-off point to the hotel. The rooms are comfortable with good facilities and the little courtyard area is delightful.'

'Although a bit rustic and somewhat hard to find, it is superbly situated inside the South Gate of Ancient Dali and a great value. It is very clean and comfortable, has what I would consider some Japanese touches, and where else can you sit in a modern bathtub gazing out the windows at the Himalayan foothills?'

'First, address is inaccurate. If you book, please call or find a way to get the correct address because the district is missing, and that is very important to have in all China, otherwise no one knows where it is, and that area has thousands of other Inn´s spread in small streets. It´s a 3 story house turned into a guesthouse? Rooms are pretty, but not very functional. Bathroom shower flooded the entire bathroom, toilet seat broke just by touching it, strange water and ticking noises all night....

'Goede locatie. Vriendelijk personeel. Het hotel deed me een beetje denken aan een Chinees restaurant. Vreemde ingang, lobby. Aandachtspunt: medewerkers spreken zeer matig (= praktisch geen) Engels en dat leidt (lijdt) zo nu en dan wel tot verwarringen. Wees voorbereid! Voor de rest in orde.'
