'We had a wonderful time staying at Shongwe Oasis. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and made sure all of our needs were attended to. Our room (honeymoon suite) had a comfortable king size bed with mosquito curtains around it, large bathtub and both indoor and outdoor showers. The pool is a great place to get some sun, although I would recommend using it in the morning or lunch time as it does get leaves and seeds falling in it throughout the day (cleaned in the mornings). 'Très beau lodge avec de grandes chambres individuelles sur pilotis dotées de balcon donnant sur le point d'eau où viennent boire de nombreux animaux (éléphants, antilopes, zèbres, phacochères ...) Excellents pisteurs attachés au lodge, ce qui nous a permis le soir de notre arrivée d'approcher un lion et deux lionnes à quelques mètres et de voir beaucoup d'animaux. 'Great room but expensive. There is no pool to the Safari Club. Next door Safari Hotel has a small pool with small deck. For a hotel at this (price) level, a pool should be a must. The complimentary happy hour, and high tea are a fun little extra. We stayed 3 nights but I believe 2 is enough to see the Victoria Falls and some wildlife.'

Vanuit het huisje een prachtig uitzicht over de unieke rotsen in de wijde omgeving. Ontbijt en diner worden geserveerd buiten onder een heel groot afdak; diner komt van de braai af. Alles heerlijk.
