'We have stayed at Casa Roland a half dozen times over the years. It’s by far the best appointed accommodation in Golfito proper. Situated in the historic old American Zone (where Chiquita Banana executives lived) it is charming and has the best pool complex in the area. The restaurant is also very good. I highly recommend Casa Roland.'
'We stayed 2 nights in Iguana Lodge, one before and one after our 3 day jungle trek through Corcovado NP. Perfect place to prepare and recover for a tough hike. Splendid contemporary rooms with ocean views, friendly staff and great food in the restaurant. Breakfast was a little basic. '
'Stayed four nights. Lovely setting in the rain forest. The Cabin (turtle lodge, comfort bungalow) felt private. Sounds of the wildlife, wonderful. Nice deck overlooking the property. The manager Zayro was very friendly (along with the other staff) and helpful organising a tour into the Corcovado National Park. 'Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems).
