'We stayed here to experience the Rail Explorers Elk River tour, which makes the hotel’s location convenient if one is coming from Ohio. The beds were comfortable! The hallway carpets and furniture were all banged up or stained. The guests seemed a little rowdy the night we stayed, including an incessant yapping dog. 'When I pulled up out front, the woman who runs the hotel happened to be outside. When I told her my last name she knew my first name and where I was traveling from. Check in was seamless and quick. My room was immaculately clean and comfortable. This place was a steal. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.'

'Sarah checked us in and was extremely helpful. We had arrived early and our rooms were ready for check in. She assisted with recommendations for hiking and restaurants in the area. We stayed for two days and had a lovely time. The staff was nice and courteous. Very nice rooms with updated amenities.
