'Location is fantastic. Right on town Square with a great coffee shop and boutique sandwich shop at the apartment entrance. Just be mindful its a common restroom with minimal amenities for privacy. Only one mirror in the four-sink bathroom that is minimally lit . Showers have only a curtain for privacy while your in the shower and none outside. So be prepared to dress inside your shower stall.'

'Decent place overall but not much in terms of extras.'

'Very clean house with vintage and antique decorations. They had extra snacks, water, toiletries, and even laundry supplies for us to use! They were very well prepared for a family of 5 with lots of pillows and blankets for everyone as well as 2 blow-up mattresses.'

'Quiet cozy clean little spot !'

'Last min pick- needed a bed to sleep in. Son said great location if wanting to explore.'

'Great space compared to a hotel room. Clean'

'Loved the atmosphere very unique and comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay the next time we travel this way'

'A calm spot ideal for a quick stopover.'

'This location was downtown Lawrenceville so it was very convenient to food, drinks, entertainment, and family. It was perfect for us to see family and friends all day, but have a quiet, private sanctuary to cool comfortably, relax and sleep in late! (BTW, it was cooled nicely when we arrived!) The rooms were large and comfortable. There was just 2 of us, but the space easily accommodates 2 couples plus a couple of kids. It had an entry, big great room with a large, fully equiped...

'Very pleasant stay. The loft was very clean and cozy as advertised.'

'My family and I really liked "Our Neck of the Woods" cottage. We were returning home from a vacation in Michigan to St Louis and thought I'd be fun to go into Casey, IL to see all the world's biggest attractions before closing the book on vacation 2026. This property is quiet and welcoming. We had dinner at Richard's Farm Restaurant and it was excellent. We also saw a deer 10 yards from the cottage out back and a muskrat in the pdnd below along with other bird wildlife. Thank you for sharing...

'Fairly clean, however did have some issues. Pillows were completely worn out as were the beds, mattresses were covered in plastic which made them very hot to sleep on. While not under the Hosts control, the dog next door barked at everything morning and night.'

'This property was a little larger than the pictures made it look (in our opinion). It was clean and met all of our needs. We would definitely consider coming back in the future if traveling through Effingham again.'

'It’s very nice, very clean, equipped with everything that you need. It overlooks the cute town of Marshall.'

'A small converted barn that feels like what it says on the tin. A cozy cabin surrounded by trees. There was a lovely pond on the property and a loft above the kitchen. I loved the trees surrounding the property it offered a lot of privacy. Communication with the owner was fast and effective. The instant check in was great. The only problem was that I wasn't provided with the door code by Expedia, so I had to ask the owner before I could get in. He responded quickly and we had a wonderful time....

'Great property that I would return to given the need to do so. Our son got married this past weekend and the VRBO allowed us to relax and enjoy the weekend. Thank you so much.'
