'What we absolutely loved about our stay, and what made the experience uniquely special, was the exceptional treatment that Joshua showered us with—from the time he greeted us at our vehicle upon check-in—to the time he walked us to our vehicle at checkout. The room and common areas were flawlessly kept, the property was peaceful, and the other guests were just as pleased as we were to share such a wonderful space. The added bonus is that Joshua makes a superb quiche!'

'I travel to So. Illinois annually to visit but this is my first stay at the Makanda Inn. It will not be my last. I had a very peaceful stay- after long days of family visit and running around with the grands, it was so nice to stay here where it was quiet and relaxing. Breakfast every morning was top notch and just the right portions.'

'Clean, safe, great sheets. I had everything I needed in my room. Not expecting to have to climb a flight of stairs. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Good location for historic district. I would recommend. Never saw any staff. But that was explained when I made the reservation.'
