“An excellent stay!”

Considering the deal we received through Expedia we would rate our experience as superb. The hotel is a handy 5 minute walk from Waverley Station. We received a quick and friendly check in and then were pleasantly surprised by the room size and quality. Breakfast was an added bonus which we greatly appreciated, despite it being rather chaotic and low on some of the choices. The hotel has a nice bar and vending machines on various floors which we found useful. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking our next one! Many thanks.

The hotel was overall fantastic. staff could not be more helpfull. in a great location, rooms were very clean with internet service. breakfast was every good with a wide selection of a continental style buffet. will definitely be stopping there again. many food places was a 2 min walk, the castle was 15 min walk away.

Short break to theatre for a birthday gift hotel and staff lovely, and more than helpful. Room comfortable and clean, slightly smaller than i expected but not a major issue. Good value for money and an ideal location for theatre, shopping and Leith excellent choice of restaurants in surrounding area.

Really nice room with everything we needed for a single night stay. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of variety. Great value room.

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! Such good value for money, clean, modern and comfortable, with the added bonus of a great location, very close to all the action of central Edinburgh. The service was excellent too, my friend and I were made to feel very welcome and well looked after. Oh, and let's not forget the free hot breakfast in the morning, best way to start a big day of sightseeing! Gotta be honest, I didn't want to leave!

“Great for Price and Location”

I visit Edinburgh 3-5 times a year and have stayed at Holiday Inn Express - Edinburgh City Centre three times now (all during Peak Periods) and have always found this to be the best for price and location. Staff are friendly and the rooms are great, clean and all the amenities you need. I would say more of a 3.5 to 4 star hotel. (just no fridge)

“Short break in Edinburgh”

The Hotel was conveniently located for exploration of Edinburgh. The room was comfortable with a decent size television and tea making facility. Breakfast was a good experience to set you up for a days exploring and the bag storage facility was very helpul meaning we could check out and enjoy the rest of the day withou having to carry bags around.
