'Loved our 3 day stay over St.Patty’s weekend. This place is close to everything. 3 min walk to secluded Tybee River beach. Plus, 5 min walk to one of the best restaurants in the island,AJ’s. The Herrons Nest is comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet and clean. Easy to get a Uber for a jaunt to Savannah. Thank you for a very well hosted stay on Tybee.'

'This home is so charming! Our bed was super comfy. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfasts were “out of this world” amazing!!! Just a short walk to the beach, great food & drinks, or the historical lighthouse and fort. It was the perfect weekend!!!'

'We’ve stayed a few places at this property and around the island as we come almost every year. Have to say this was our favorite so far. Love how they opened it up compared to others. It’s obviously clean and well cared for. And seeing the dolphins all day from the balcony never gets old. Definitely would book this one again!'

'My son and I stayed at Desoto Beach Hotel for 3 nights. The room was very nice and clean. The beds were very comfy and we love the fact that we were a hop, skip and a jump from the beach. We enjoyed the beach every day that we were there even though it rained a bit. When the weather cleared and the sun came back out, we were out at the beach again. We will come back to Desoto Beach Hotel again as we come to Tybee as a quick getaway from Atlanta, Ga.'

'I highly recommend this place if you want to stay on Tybee Island. It is right in the middle of shopping and restaurants and only one block to the beach. The staff is super friendly and the room was very clean. Yes it is an older hotel, but it has been completely renovated, so it feels new. Parking was super easy. They even let us check in early because our room was ready. I thought we might be in for a noisy night since we were right on the strip by the restaurants but it actually ended up...

'Our initial room assignment was dirty and had a fist-punch mark on the wall next to the sink. I don't think it was supposed to be rented out. You could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We discussed it with the manager and was promptly moved to an upgraded, very clean, room with a kitchenette. That room was very nice.
