Wood burning stove/ fireplace was nice touch for chilly evenings.Close to Murphys and The Calaveras Big Trees. We stayed for three nights and wished we would have stayed longer. 'We loved our stay at the Stonehaus. It's a great little cabin, conveniently located, that has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We especially loved the hot tub and my son loved the game room. The adjoining meadow is just beautiful, although you do hear cars from nearby Hwy 4 when you're sitting outside. Overall, a great little cabin that families will surely enjoy!'

'This was a last minute booking but I am so thankful that I found the Grant family’s home in the woods!! Thank you for the complimentary wine, Grant family!!! The place was absolutely clean and even the sheets felt clean. I am very particular with cleanliness and I was genuinely satisfied with how they’ve maintained this property. To give you an idea how clean the place was… the glass on the master’s bedroom shower was spotless! The place was well-stocked! I’m an overpacker and I’ve packed...

'We found the cabin to be very comfortable. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything was in good shape. Comfortable beds, cozy and ready to use fire place. It was just what we needed for our ski getaway weekend. '

We loved having large communal spaces with the kitchen/dining area with plenty of seating and appreciated it being connected to the living area. The kids enjoyed the game room and had so much fun in the huge bunk room. With so many bunks there was no battle for top or bottom bunks. We loved the history of the home and could feel the group/family dynamic it was built to foster. Location wise...
