'I visited South Lake Tahoe in the busiest part of the year: July The hotel was fully booked. The staff, though friendly, were extremely busy and didn't have time to give the guest attention. The resort fee for 3 days of over a 100 dollars (!) was just crazy. It's just extra money per night as if the base rate wasn't high enough for a renovated motel. A resort fee for what exactly? for use of the tiny pool? The absence of a gym? Parking motel style? The worst part of the stay was the mattress....
