'The 1 bed apartment was spotless and to a really good spec, was a brilliant base for a week in Edinburgh. Brilliant location too, next to the station, couple of mins walk from the Royal Mile or the New Town and plenty of places to eat or drink literally on the doorstep. Long stay parking is expensive in Edinburgh but there are options not too far away, but not on street. Didn’t have a problem unloading and then loading the car though. Also good communication via WhatsApp too with easy keyless...

'Best Location across from Cathedral st Giles. In the heart of everything. This apartment has everything you need for a sightseeing stay. Can be noisy at night with crowds but if you choose to stay here you should expect it. My only suggestion is to replace the mattress. It feels worn and saggy. Joivy was a great company to work with. 'It’s a hostel. There are individual rooms within a booked room. They all share an old bathroom. Book if you want to be central and only need a place to sleep and kind of shower. '

'It was a great stay — fabulous location; helpful “landlords”; well equipped. The only draw backs are the mattress and pillows: a pretty unsupportive basic mattress & stiff, flat pillows — definitely did NOT ruin the stay, however. '

'This flat is very close to Grassmarket and the castle. It is a very walkable location. We loved being in old town. We felt like this was a safe location for our children as well. I would not recommend using the sofa bed so it really only sleeps 4 adults. Two of our children had to sleep on the floor even though the listing said it sleeps 6. It also takes a good while to air dry clothes since there isn’t a dryer. '
