'Fantastic hotel! Our first night there was one other family in the hotel. The second night we were the only ones! The photos online are very accurate. Staff were very friendly and had lots of recommendations for restaurants for us. The hotel is a one minute walk to the town center. The only slight negative, which the hotel cannot control, were the church bells ringing from the nearby church, EVERY HOUR. Other than that, highly recommend. '

'Hotel Hicasua is geweldig. Het ligt tegen de rand van stad Barichara waar niets ver weg is. Comfortabele kamers met interieur die erg past bij de stad Barichara. Hotel heeft een erg attente staf en ontbijt is praktisch geregeld; bestel wat je wilt hebben in plaats van buffet. Dus lekker vers en heerlijk naar wens. Restaurant in hotel is erg goed, verder heerlijk zwembad, jacuzzi en dergelijke. Heerlijk verblijf voor volwassenen en kinderen gedurende verblijf in Barichara.'

'Al llegar nos hicieron un inventario de los objetos de la habitación, una de las Toallas estaba doblada sucia y con cabello. Baja presión en las tuberías , paredes sucias. La comida limitada en opciones y no muy rica. El tinto instantáneo y en vaso plástico. cuesta lo mismo que un 4 estrellas en cartagena y es una posada.'

'The original booking was for Tierra Roja, but the hotel was in a bad section of town and down very muddy roads. The hotel manager sent us to another hotel they managed, but didn’t adjust the price until we noticed that it was listed for quite a bit less on hotels.com. They agreed to a partial refund and we thought everything was fine. We were the only ones staying there and the lady who took care of the hotel left early. Just before midnight someone tried to break into our room. We scared them...

'We had a great stay in this hotel. The layout is great. The rooms are filled with a feeling of history. The pool is lovely. Breakfast was substantial and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. A very short walk and you are in the central square of one of the most beautiful towns in Latin America. What more could you want.
