'Overall, a nice place to stay. Room was nice. Pools were nice. Right on a good section of beach. Free valet services, but the valets were hard to find at the desk and a little slow. It also does seems a little odd that they’re still not cleaning rooms as if we are still worried about Covid. Not even an offer to clean the room or replace towels, soap, toilet paper, etc in the week we were there. Also, a little odd that you keep the “spa” in your name when it is shut down and not opening...

'The room was a bit outdated but that’s many maui resorts for you. The amenities are nice and the fact that it is on the beach facing the sunset makes it worth, but there were multiple bugs (cockroaches and whatnot) found in the room (again, tropical island what can you do), and very old dirty feeling bathrooms and floors. The room was spacious and had no smell. The pictures def make it seem more modern than it is. For the price though it’s pretty solid, just don’t expect a fancy nice room'

'Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this week, they gave us a bottle of wine at check in … view was amazing, however the unit wasn’t the best due to the Kona storm. Water got into the unit and soaked the bedroom floor and made it smell like mildew. The front desk was great, they offered to move us to another unit, however we would’ve gone from an ocean view to a parking lot view so decided to put up with the smell and damp floor. Behold... Puu Pehe, known as “Sweetheart Rock”. This is Lanai’s most notable landmark and the setting for one of Hawaii’s epic legends. Story goes a hottie princess from Maui was "captured" by a young warrior from Lanai. He made her his wife and he was so smitten with her beauty and... apparently so insecure that he was afraid to let other men see her so kept her in a sea cave near the rock when he was away. One day the weather suddenly changes, the surf slams the area, and... yup, one less princess. The warrior rushed back to the cave, but it was too late, he climbed the steep rock where he buried her in a tomb and then overcome with grief leapt to his death. Moral of story might be... um, don't abduct women and lock them in caves.
