'Room looks nice, very clean and comfy bed. But terrible noice. You can expect a lot of noice from the two bars down the street, but even worse was the sound of a compressor or washing machine that penetrated the room. That stopped 11:30 pm but only to start again at 7 am. Also a van airconditioning kept on working through out the night and made a lot of noice. When telling staff in the morning they couldn't be bothered with it. Staff in afternoon were nice, but at breakfast were uninterested...

'We stayed at The Lodge during a holiday weekend in Scotland. We were looking for a relaxed environment, surrounded by nature, near the main sights of Royal Deeside - and we found it! The hotel has nicely furnished clean rooms, an outdoor jacuzzi, an idyllic view on a lake and a golf course on the back. The owners are very friendly and they create a homey atmosphere: they went all the way to make our stay an enjoyable one. Recommended!'

'We were meeting friends to go to the Highland games and there were little lodging available at a reasonable price. I was a little concerned about the bothies based on earlier reviews but we all loved it. One friend was very tall and in a bothies with lower ceilings so they offered a different one but they didn't mind. We all enjoyed the wood stoves, the environment, and the beds. Also the fridge and kitchenette. But, we soon learned that internet and cell connections are rare in most of...

'Very comfortable cottage, nice area. Nice walks possible nearby, as well as in the national park Cairngorm. We visited the Highland games in Aboyne, which was great fun.'

'Wir haben die Woche hier sehr genossen: Man fühlt sich sofort wohl, wenn man die Wohnung betritt. Großzügige Ausstattung, viel Platz, Garten, ... Die Wohnung hat alles, was man braucht (sogar etwas mahr als das!). Die Lage ist idael für Ausflüge in die Cairngorms, man kommtaber auch gut an die Ostküste (z.B. Dunnotar Castle).
