'The hosts provide a perfect place to stay. It is cozy, but seems more roomy than the pictures suggest. Each room is enhanced by tastefully chosen art, furniture and unusually varied lighting. The kitchen has a surprising amount of functionality, not least of which is how attractive it is. We didn't cook since Alameda has excellent, affordable restaurants nearby, We slept well.'

'I was only there for one evening. I wanted to be close to the Oakland airport for my Monday mid morning flight to avoid traffic. It’s a perfect place for that. No need to get on the freeway and just a short 4-5 mile drive down the hill. Very pretty area too. Oh and the water pressure for the shower was awesome and heats up quick. Thank you again for a very convenient and peaceful stay! I will stay again when in the area. '

'Such a lovely little cottage tucked away in the most beautiful and well tended garden. The host is very friendly, welcoming, and has excellent taste! We were very comfortable, she went out of her way to make us feel at home with sweet little touches like organic half and half for the French press coffee and a perfectly ripe avocado. Charlotte the dog was a welcome bonus.'

'My two teenagers and I enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cottage in Berkeley. We appreciated the well-appointed home, with all the amenities we needed - washer dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc. The host even provided cloth bags for our grocery shopping! We would happily stay there again - it's a real gem '

'I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so...

'Really nice in-law cottage with a lovely patio and garden. Close to freeway and Grand Lake Theatre, plenty of food options and a supermarket nearby. TV was a problem but Wi-Fi worked and we used our own tablets most of the time. Washer & dryer needs some knobs replaced but host was responsive & friendly about helping us find a workaround. Washed clothes just fine. Vehicle parking on street or at public lot nearby. Very nice place and I’d stay again!'
