'A very lovely, light house with a nice sense of space. The staircase with the bathroom to the left and rooms to the right with lovely big windows was really special when used to living in a one bedroom flat in London. The town is beautiful and it's wonderful being so close to everything. The people are friendly and Northumberland is just magical. We cant wait to return one day.'

'A Lovely little cottage with all the tech you need in great location and our own gardener (Ted). We had a great time in a great little town. Only teeny issue was that Master bedroom is up very steep stairs so we snuggled up in the other bedroom: otherwise can’t fault a thing. Helen was really easy to contact and enable access.'

'We love this part of the Northumberland coast and visit regularly, and we did have a good time. I do think this cottage is overpriced for the quality of accommodation. The kitchen and main bedroom are very nice but the rest is a little tired. The furniture is miss matched flat pack and the bedding is of poor quality. One of the sofas is very uncomfortable (kids said like their student digs) the curtains are far too thin and don’t keep the cold out, we had to buy a lot of wood to keep the lounge...

'The house is in a great location for accessing the Coastal Path- north and south there are great walks. Angela is a helpful host and the check in process was very easy. Unlike many other local properties we were able to book a two night stay which was great for us Our bed was very comfortable Lovely seat in the front garden for morning sun and sea views. The back garden has some pretty flowers and is a great place for late afternoon sun when the front is in shade, but we didn’t have any garden...

'We recently stayed at Dovecote House whilst my partner and I were in Alnwick for our wedding. We stayed with our two children (6 and 1) and my parents and it was a fantastic space. Beds all so comfy, clean bathrooms, kitchen with all necessities you could need. The host was ever so helpful and communicated with us quickly and efficiently. 'A lovely home, only a few minutes walk to the beach and village centre. We were family of 5 with 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all. The house is very well equipped and Susan the owner has really thought of everything needed for a wonderful family holiday!'

'Well equipped and convenient for Alnwick and the surrounding area. We only had a three night break but found the house ideal for our needs. Hopefully we’ll return for a longer stay to explore Northumberland some more soon.'

'From booking to stay the communication with Louise was first class. The cottage was clean, well kitted out and welcome pack was a lovely touch including the personalised card. Location is first class as we had lots of activities planned in Alnwick. Really nice to dump the car and walk everywhere. Delighted we finally got to celebrate special birthdays after covid. Veel gedoe wel goed opgelost
"Dag van aankomst buitengesloten omdat het slot van de kamer opeens kapot was. Wel een mooie gratis upgrade gekregen voor het ongemak. Maar vervolgens geen sleutel van nieuwe kamer tot volgende ochtend, daardoor juist ingesloten. Bij aankomst met creditcard betaald, dit bleek achteraf onduidelijk in de administratie te zijn. Ook was de schoonmaak van de kamer een keer vergeten. Tijdens het wachten op schone handdoeken wel netjes een glaasje wijn van het huis gekregen. Dus voor mij ongekend veel gedoe, wat gelukkig wel steeds klantvriendelijk werd opgelost."
