I have given Metropol Opera Deluxe Residence 1 star only because the system will not allow me to give ZERO.
This was genuinely one of the worst and most frustrating hotel arrival experiences I have ever had.
When we arrived, we eventually managed to gain entry past the very grumpy doorman and went to the counter looking for some help.
The lady at the counter told us that she “had nothing to do with the hotel.” This was rather confusing...

'This place was just an okay stay. For the price I expected to have pool access, this was extremely disappointing when there a pool on the 5th floor. The check in process was difficult because they don’t know who you are and have to wait for communication via text. The lobby security are rude and has no courtesy. I would never recommend this place. It’s only good bc it’s new.'

'The place was beautiful! It was exactly like the pictures and so thoughtfully decorated. Phuong was a wonderful host and provided lots of useful and clear information, and everyone at the cafe downstairs was very friendly too. The location is very central, and even though it is in a busy area, the laneway and cafe feel so peaceful and secluded. It was a perfect place to stay.'
