'We had an excellent week at Il Querciolo. It is an ideal location for a base to explore Tuscany with Arezzo, Siena and Florence all within easy reach. If you prefer quieter smaller towns, there are plenty to choose from, such as Cortona, Monte San Savino, Gargonza, Lucignano, Castiglion Fiorentino - all close by. Cesare and family were amazing hosts and provided a warm welcome and plenty of suggestions of places to visit. They also produce some amazing wine, which you have to try when you stay....

'Nice place where you can really relax! The 3,5 km bumpy road takes you to "the middle of nowhere" to find a very nice and very well kept estate with a great view of the hills around. There are 2 nice swimming pools and a restaurant with good and honest Tuscan food. The people are very nice and take care of all your needs. Wonderfull place to spend a week!'

'Ontzettend prettige ontvangst in dit verblijf, mooie kamers in Toscaanse stijl ingericht. De dame aan de receptie weet ontzettend veel van de omgeving en kan je dus nog goed tips geven over wat er zoal in de buurt is te doen of te bekijken. Goede locatie om uitstapjes te maken naar bijvoorbeeld Arrezzo, Florence, Sienna etc. maar ook om op het verblijf te relaxen bij het mooie zwembad. Heerlijk diner gehad in het restaurant. Echt iets om nog eens naar terug te gaan.'

'Our host was very attentive and lovely. She invited us to a very nice evening wine party on-site aside of a small lake. It was quite charming. It was also nice to see the vineyards and olive trees. One downside was no A/C as advertised, but we had fans. Still very quaint.'

'A truly wonderful and memorable stay at Castello di Tornaro in Tuscany. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with charming rooms and beautiful local products throughout the property. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming and attentive, making us feel genuinely well taken care of. We especially enjoyed the intimate and personal wine tasting — a lovely experience that made our stay even more special. 'Beautiful structure in typical local style. Very friendly staff and always ready to answer your questions with a smile. The food at the restaurant is good but not at the highest level you can experience in the area. We enjoyed the location a lot being very close to Pienza and Montelpulciano. Unfortunately the rooms are quite close to the main road and it can get noisy early in the morning. The view on Pienza is simply marvellous as well as the country road to Monticchiello.'
