'A unique, and uniquely warm motel that is really not comparable to any other properties. The couple that owns the motel are the main highlight: you will struggle to find more gracious, hospitable, friendly and helpful hosts anywhere in Newfoundland. 'We spent 3 nights in an ocean view suite with a hot tub. The view was amazing! The room was fully equipped with a kitchen and utensils. Then we came back at the end of our trip for four nights and stayed in Port Royal room, and this one was much bigger with bigger bathroom. Both rooms were on the first floor. 'The one thing I will say is I found the shower dangerously slippery, no rubber mat to stand on'

'Clean rooms. Kitchen area needs a bit of an update. Beds were comfortable with newer linens. One small elevator that smelled of smoke and stairwell also smelled of smoke - probably some guest who wasn’t adhering to no smoking policy. Otherwise acceptable and good enough stay. Prices in the city a lot higher than I expected.'

'Great stay. Petty Harbour room with private bathroom. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Loved the private bathroom with shower and Native brand shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Breakfast was a definite highlight during which the owner Rob offered recommendations and advice on the local sites, stories, and jokes a plenty. Fantastic location. Would absolutely stay again.'
