'The best hotel in Bacalar. i have been coming to Akalki for over 14 years and never disappoints. Take note that the bungalow rooms on the water ( 1-4) do have air conditioning - the website ( expedia listing ) is not clear about that. Make sure to take a tour to go visit the temple and take Akalki boat tour on the water with your captain Yan. Every morning there is a holistic experience of either sound healing, yoga , meditation - endulge in these experiences as well. The spa is also incredible...

'This hotel was so lovely. We had a gorgeous room with such a nice view, the staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was consistently good and the lagoon pontoon was beautiful with kayaks and SUPs free to use. We had such a nice time, thank you!'

'Très belle chambre avec une immense salle de bain ! Très belle terrasse avec baignoire extérieure et un hamac L’hôtel a 2 petites piscines et un ponton pour accéder directement à la lagune. Même si la grand route est proche, une fois dans l’hôtel nous n’entendons aucun bruit. Belle surprise lors du repas lorsque le chef vient préparer la viande et le poisson en croûte de sel à votre table !!!'
