JAQUISH LANE
Jaquish Lane ligt aan een langgerekte rotsachtige kust van Maine en is een volledig gerenoveerde compound aan de oceaan met een prachtig uitzicht op de zee vanuit bijna elke kamer. Het pand ligt ver van de hoofdweg en biedt totale privacy. Jaquish Lane bestaat uit twee afzonderlijke gebouwen (Jaquish House en # 14) verbonden door een open grasveld.

JAQUISH HOUSE is een groot, luxe familiehuis met een enorme master suite en een prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. (Het huis slaapt 10 met 1 kingsize bed, 1 Queen, 1 Full en 2 stapelbedden

"NUMBER 14" is een cottage met dezelfde eigenschappen als een edelsteen voor twee (1 koningin) uit de vroege jaren 1900 - toen er weinig anders op het eiland was.

Geniet van dutjes op de veranda of loop naar de nabijgelegen stranden, restaurants en winkels. Ontdek tidepools langs de waterkant of maak gebruik van de striper van wereldklasse om vanaf de rotsen te vissen. Eet kreeft vers uit de zee getrokken door lokale lobstermen. Ga zeilen naar het nabijgelegen Eagle Island of kajak de kilometerslange vredige kustlijn van Harpswell. Krul op voor de open haard met een boek en een glas wijn.

Wat je ook kiest om te doen, het komt allemaal terug op het uitzicht. Zwervende golven of perfecte rust - de zee is een constante en steeds veranderende aanwezigheid in zowel Jaquish House als nummer 14. Leun achterover en kijk hoe de oceaan verandert met het weer. Uur voor uur. Minuut bij minuut. Altijd anders. Altijd mooi.

Jaquish Lane is een plek om te verzamelen, omringd door vrienden en familie. Een plek om maaltijden en verhalen te delen en te onthouden hoe heerlijk het is om je echt te laten vertragen.

Zowel JAQUISH HOUSE als NUMBER 14 zijn begin 2015 volledig gerenoveerd. De keuken van de chef-kok is voorzien van alle nieuwe apparaten, evenals een hoog rendement wasmachine en droger. Slaapkamers hebben allemaal gloednieuwe matrassen en zijn ingericht met luxe beddengoed en linnengoed. JAQUISH HOUSE beschikt over een kingsize grote suite met een eigen badkamer met een bubbelbad in de jacuzzi aan de oceaan. Een koningin slaapkamer met uitzicht op de oceaan, een volledige slaapkamer met 48 "televisie en blu-ray-speler, en een" stapelbed kamer "met 4 aparte bedden. Gratis wifi - snel internet overal. NUMMER 14 heeft een queensize bed, een ensuite badkamer met een bad met klauwbekken en een betegelde douche, en een kitchenette met een gootsteen, een kookplaat, een magnetron en een koelkast.

Great spot. Refreshing to stay in a real house!

We sat and watched a major winter storm outside the window. Very exciting from within a cozy house. We enjoyed staying in a house where you could feel somebody's presence, rather than the "accessorized" vacation homes with welcoming signs from the Dollar store etc. Only thing lacking--place needs a new key box because the existing one is hard enough to use that it feels like it won't work. Gorgeous place!

All was good except the bedroom with the waterbed-like frame. It was uncomfortable. Also not air conditioned. We could have used a dishwasher. The setting was great. Overall, it was a good experience.

Amazing Vacation Retreat

We loved our visit to this beautiful Maine home. The ocean views were amazing from the great room, deck, and master bedroom and bath. The sunrises were breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats checking their traps each day and the boats sailing in Casco Bay. The open living space was great for our family of 5 adults and a dog to spend time together – very spacious and comfortable. There were books, games and puzzles to keep everyone busy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed – there really was no need to leave, although we did enjoy a couple of delicious meals at local restaurants right on the island. This home is awesome – a wonderful place to relax, spend time together, and just enjoy the spectacular views.

Amazing view!

Great house, great view, great communication. The house was super comfortable and relaxed for our group of adults, little kids and dog. Kitchen was well equipped but just note there’s no dishwasher. I expected to be able to walk down from the house to a rocky beach but it’s just a large rocky drop off. However we did enjoy the small sandy beach that’s just a 2 minute walk down the road for incredible sunrises and sunsets Would love to return sometime!

JAQUISH LANE

This was our second time staying at the Gills Group houses. This time in Jaquish which is the largest. LOVED this house. We were a group of seven and everyone had their own space. It's also great that it comes with the #14 cottage. The open living space is perfect and has the most incredible ocean views. Really no need to ever leave! The house manager Dave is also great. Very responsive to any and all needs. Makes the overall experience seamless. Cannot wait to come back next year!

Gorgeous Home in an ideal location

I was so impressed with the care taken in the property. It really is a special place. We had six adults and three kids so were left with plenty of space to hang out. The kitchen was really well equipped (less a dishwasher, but we adjusted to that pretty quickly). We had a lot of rain but the common space was large and comfortable and a perfect place to watch a storm roll through.

Maine Beach

Beautiful house with all the amenities you could ask for. The kitchen is well stocked to prepare great meals of the local seafood. Location and plentiful beautiful views made this stay awesome. Plenty to do and see. This is a beautiful area of the country. Experienced a Nor'easter during our stay too. We lost power but not to worry, our property contact Dave was there in a moment's notice to fire up the generator. He was a gem in taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect. I hope to return next year!

An excellent stay!

The trip got off to a great start when we entered the home, dimly lit and with a fire roaring. It was already dark, so we could not see the ocean, but when we awoke the next morning, we could then see the beautiful ocean views and rocky coast from the expansive primary bedroom windows. The coastline is exactly as it appears in the photos, the tides are pretty large providing a changing landscape throughout the day, the lobster boats come by regularly with sets directly in front of the home, there is constant entertainment. Functionally, the kitchen was fully stocked with all cookware, utensils, basic spices, and paper towels. Everything you need for a great stay!

Peaceful & Relaxing

The property is in a fantastic location. The view is more than amazing and our family & friends enjoyed being in the great open room or outside on the deck. The beauty begins with sunrise over the water. We were able to see several rainbows over the water and one day a double rainbow. At night the moon glistening on the water was so beautiful. Friends felt completely spoiled by the guest cottage when they visited. The location is convenient to many things and there is a perfect little beach within walking distance. If you have access to kayaks or a stand up board bring them. The younger children LOVED the bunkroom. It was outfitted with large raccoon & fox puppets climbing on the bunks which they immediately named and played with. Our extended family had a great time here. The only downside is maybe that for the large group that we were there is no dishwasher. We used paper plates sometimes and worked around it. The oven is functional but the pull out racks are a little rickety and the interior is beginning to deteriorate some. Made it seem like it was not clean inside. The outdoor grill is showing its age as well & needed a good scrubbing before use. The property manager Dave was available for any questions we had during our stay and very friendly. Bailey Island is a beautiful and relaxing place. We were all mesmerized by the water view, salt air, & ALL found ourselves so relaxed and wanting to nap in the late afternoon. The cottage decor is as pictured and unique. When friends visited we were 11 people for dinner. The large table could accommodate all of us. One night the youngest two sat at the little game table with the "fancy pouf" seats and felt like princesses. If you decide to venture out for dinner there are many amazing choices. Two favorites were Dolphin & The School House in Harpswell. This is a fantastic place for a relaxing seaside vacation with family & friends. We had so much fun & created many great memories here!

Epic vacation!

What an exquisite place for our family gathering… It served all our needs and all our senses! The home was spacious andbeautiful and had everything we needed, including wonderful gathering areas and porch views of the magnificent sea. We were three generations, and there was something for everyone, both on the property itself and in our adventures. We had two fantastic lobster nights with freshly caught local lobster, and adventured frequently to tide pools, area beaches, and hiking trails. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our time, helping us locate kayak rentals, local lobster haunts and more. With the biblical sunsets, lobster rolls, beautiful paddling, and local homemade ice cream, this vacation was one for the books. Thank you Jaquish Lane and Bailey Island!

Beautiful private getaway

My wife and I rented this beautiful home(s) for a week and didn’t want to go back to reality. The experience was better than pictures will show, Bailey Island is like going back to simpler, better times. There is a tv there, but wasn’t turned on once. Cooking, listening to music by the sea, games with friends who came up, hikes, etc. The property manager Dave was extremely attentive and helpful with anything we needed, and the check in/out was simple. The views and Bailey Island as a whole were just gorgeous and the people in town and restaurants like Cook’s and Sundrenched couldn’t of been friendlier. We will definitely like to come back, as would our pup, who I had to pick up to get into the car when it was time to go- something that never happens!

Peaceful and Restful

It took us a few days to unwind from the business of life we left behind. Once we were able to settle into the pace of the island, we had a great time! We loved time as a family. The views are beautiful and the kids played on the rocks every day.
