'Hotel old and tired, smelled strange! Room boiling hot no fan supplied. Food served was not as described on menu and of poor quality for the price. Breakfast tables had not been cleared difficult to find a clean one. Poor selection on a buffet breakfast, eggs inedible. Staff pleasant but seemed happier when outside chatting and smoking. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.'

'We hadden een driepersoonskamer geboekt, maar die bleek in feite een al krappe tweepersoonskamer te zijn waarin een extra bed was bijgezet. Dat ‘bed’ was niet meer dan een smalle strandstretcher met een matrasje van hooguit twee centimeter dik. Slapen daarop lukte alleen als je stil op je rug bleef liggen. Uiteindelijk heeft onze dochter het grootste deel van de nacht op het randje van ons tweepersoonsbed doorgebracht. De kamer was zo vol dat we onze koffers in de badkamer moesten neerzetten....

'The stables was in an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent with lots of nearby attractions. The White Hart inn next door is a family owned village pub with lots of character, good beer and food. The accommodation was ideal for a couple. The open kitchen /longe was very well equipped with the added bonus of French windows onto a small patio area with outside seating. Very difficult to find any faults as is highly recommended we would certainly stay here again.'
