'Fabulous stay. Lovely, spacious, spotless twin room with very clean, modern en suite. Everywhere is extremely clean and very well maintained. Plenty of parking and a fantastic outside area for sunny days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Generous meal portions and absolutely delicious! We joined in the quiz night and were even greeted warmly (and helped!) by the locals. We will definitely be staying again!'

'Beautiful, fairy tales behind stay. The breakfast and evening meals were less good. There was also no possibility to eat in the village.Luckily the cook was kind enough to make a steak sandwich for us for the lunch.The staff were very helpful.'

'A very cool/reserved welcome. Check-in seems like an effort. Quickly settled and sat outside for a drink - went inside because the language was disgusting. The swearing inside was no better and neither was the misogynistic comments from the senior members. Good place to stay but let down by the clientele'

'We liked our room, the view it gave us over the countryside was brilliant. We struggled with the coffee maker, and gave up on it- some instructions would have helped. We also struggled with the shower controls and again some instructions would have helped. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was very good but we were a bit disappointed by the selection for dinner.'

'Such a quaint old Welsh building in a lovely rural setting just outside of the market town of Ruthin (it is in the middle of a static caravan park but a very pleasant one). A great location for exploring the many places to see around the area . Rooms are of a good size and well equipped. 'Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Excellent food. Disappointed with the spa facilities, certainly not luxury. Massage rooms were in a hut next to the swimming pool. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill...
