'Stayed at Retallack for 3 nights and really liked the setting, design and facilities of the room/studio. The location is a little remote, but that's part of the experience :-)
The Surfsuite which we booked has a funny layout as you enter through the bedroom - as in the front door opens towards the bed. 'The toilet and shower are common, with no privacy at all. The pod does not have enough space, and the common shower does not have a temperature adjustment. Not ideal for families with kids. And the cost is high for these facilities.'

'Very well kept spotless
Staff were always very helpful and friendly
The accommodation was excellent hot water constantly and no problem with shower
Beds were very clean and comfortable
The outdoor pool was amazing we all loved it
The wildlife was great to see on our way to the forest
I would say overall the best place to stay if you are looking for something different and we booked it from Republic of Ireland for peppa pig world we definitely had a wonderful time

Perfect location, staff ( reception, shop, pool) is helpful and professional. Special thanks to Management team for organising and running such a nice premises. It is worth mention Maintenance team for their commitment and hard work keeping impeccable territory around campus and facilities.
Waiting to book another holiday to the same place.

'The grounds and pool were absolutely amazing, we even used the boat on the lake. Gardens and grounds beautifully maintained so pretty just to walk around. We had a lovely relaxing time.'

'I generally stay in 4–5 star accommodation, and based on the website description and previous reviews, I expected Hay’s Wood Retreat to fall into that category. Unfortunately, the standard of the lodge did not match the ‘luxury’ billing — in my assessment it was closer to a solid 3-star property.
If you’re used to genuinely high-end accommodation, I’d recommend tempering your expectations regardless of the marketing or other reviews you may have read. It’s a perfectly adequate stay, but...

'Excellent pod had all the amenities you could need. Very quiet, and lovely sitting out on the deck over the large pond with a glass of wine. The owner came passed and was very chatty and helpful suggesting where to fish. I think our only annoyance would be the skylight above the bed didn’t have a blackout blind so was very light at 4 in the morning, but great for seeing the stars. Would definitely go back.'
