'Property is close to Lynchburg bit lets you enjoy the country setting. It is a great place to unwind and hang by the firepit. Everything you need is there and the host was available when needed. We had no reason to contact the host as the property was exactly as described. We will rent again!'

'Preston and Judy are such a joy. Meeting them was just a added bonus. The farm house was everything they described. It was warm and welcoming and very comfortable. It reminded me of my parents home. 'From the moment we arrived at the property and identified ourselves as the family staying at Elmo's rest, we were treated like part of the family. We arrived at the house to find everything clean and ready even though we were a couple hours early. The house is a century old so floors creak and some doors stick a bit. 'This house was everything we could have asked for and more. The location was amazing. It was secluded at the foot of the mountains, which made for beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It was quiet and peaceful. It was also centrally located to area attractions, such as, natural bridge, VA safari park, Lynchburg, and the natural bridge caverns. 'Being forced to step away from all electronics my husband and I got to relax and have an amazing time in front of the beautiful mountains and under the amazing view of the stars. Christine met us when we arrived and she was so sweet!! We are planning our return to enjoy another season on the mountain tops!'

'What an amazing stay. 1790s cabin restored in the 80s. Beautiful and still had all we needed for our trip to the lake. We visited historic Bedford during the day and spent our evenings in this beautiful historic cabin. Met the owner Dave and he gave us a full tour and history. He also gave us some great suggestions for places to eat and places to get great views of the area.'

'We had a wonderful weekend stay here! The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Our trip was short, so we could not take full advantage of everything, though I wish we could! We loved how close we were to dipping our toes in the lake and liked the sandy beach area nearby. We also loved using the gliders on the balcony to enjoy some reading time and take in views of the lake. I only have a couple of recommendations, but they certainly did not...
