'This small hotel is a unique conversion of an old house and is a “labor of love” by the owner. It has beautiful mahogany woodwork, tile floors and artwork in the rooms. It has a common area veranda where it’s nice to sit and feel the sea breeze and listen to bird calls. 'Wow, Michelle is amazing! Incredible property which is very inviting. Great food & drinks too. Gill is the master at making drinks! Michelle took the time to show me around the city and recommended places to eat, etc. Bed was super comfortable. I will be coming by again. '

'Main problem was ongoing construction of two new cottages only a few feet from the single existing cottage. Savy lodge owners care about client comfort and do not rent when renovating. Lighting along boardwalk poor and I tripped over a fresh 3 ft tall gravel mound ( construction) walking to our car in the dark. The manager did not show us the cottage upon our arrival as all other 13 places we stayed in Belize did.'

'The rooms are awesome, but the yard is still under development, the canal is choked with grass and trash making the kayak rental a no go , it's located abit remote if you are planning on walking anywhere. I think the rate is high for now , once the property is completed it would definitely be a place id go back to. '
