'The room was nice spacious but could use an update. And they made a fuss about me not wanting to eat in the special 'dog-area' because it felt like being put away... and too hot. i wanted outside but there they didn't serve... finally it was okay but i had to stand my ground and that was not so nice after a very long day's walk... beautiful sitting area outside though!'

'Stayed in the Hadrian Suite which is a beautifully designed space, very impressive. Very warm welcome and friendly service throughout. Comfortable bar area downstairs with great dining options. Definitely recommend if you're visiting this stunning part of England – they will help with guidance for walks and dark skies star spotting etc. '

'This review considers the amazingly low price we paid (£40), compared to other availability in the area. We requested (and booked) a family room, on arrival, we were given two double rooms opposite each other. Not a problem for our 1 night stay, but it could have been. The rooms were warm and clean, and had been newly decorated, the bedding was clean and crisp. The breakfast was adequate, all self serve, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, packet meats and pastries. 'Staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was very clean and quiet, and the hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of Hexham. The only issues were the very few parking spaces available, and the fact we could only park for up to 2hrs with a permit during the day, if there wasn’t any space in the tiny car park. But we loved the hotel itself and would recommend. '
