'The Refuge Inn staff made me feel right at home. Easy check in, regardless we were early and we had a room in the first floor which was wonderful since we had access to the mini forest/patio area perfect for my two kids, 2 and 7. The yard also had access to the pool which was beautiful covered in plants and half outdoor/indoor. the hot tub did have a little too much chemical but it was clean. For every day we stayed breakfast was included. I would def stay here again. '

'The bungalows were adorable and clean. It was well-maintained and just a cool place to stay. I really liked the pool and the "beach" area, and found the fire pits and corn hole boards there to be a welcome addition to our stay. I've already recommended it to others! Do take note: my family were the only people at the pool one day during our stay, and the music coming through the pool speakers was both too loud AND a genre that none of us were enjoying at all. 'This is place is a gem! Quiet, off of the beaten trail, & right on the water. Nothing fancy, but then are you on vacation just to stay in a hotel room - No! The bed was comfortable (pillow top mattress) and the people are wonderful! We stopped here on our way to the Outer Banks & extended our stay by 1 night because of hurricane damage to our ultimate destination.'
