'I'm doing this review solely to give the staff at this facility the credit they deserve. From the amazing front desk woman with the glasses, to the young African American staff kid, everyone was just so inviting and helpful. We traveled from Jersey and spent most of the week on the Ocean Front (Marriot Sheraton 4 points), but we wanted to slow things down a bit for the last day of our trip and we're glad we did. 'It was an excellent place to stay. The staff was phenomenal. We did not have any issues at all. Their elevator was down, but they accommodated the residence extremely well. They had a staff member stay in the elevator and help residence to get to their floors. They did a great job in a really difficult situation. The view from the hotel is amazing The boardwalk outside is incredible. You just can’t get a better place to stay!'

'I’ve stayed at a few properties on Virginia Beach over the years and none I’d go back to. However, The Capes is on my list of hotels I’d rebook. The rooms were clean; the property was clean. The indoor pool was warm and seemed pretty clean. They offer an on-site restaurant. I did not try this time around so I can’t speak to the food there. They also offer ample parking that is easily accessible. I guess if I were to offer one thing I’d like to see, it’d be a soap rack in the shower or towel rack...

'We had a great experience. My spouse has mobility issues and therefore we booked a handicapped room. There was a bar in the tub but no collapsible seat. That would be awesome if this could be an added feature. All in all a great getaway!'

Our room was very spacious, also very clean, beds were really comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again next time we are down near VA Beach. "This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
