'Wij wilden graag dicht bij Jamestown zitten met een Mc Donalds in de buurt. Dus kwamen we hier uit in Angels Camp. Het hotel ziet er een beetje oud uit. De kamer was wel schoon en de bedden ook.Het bed is comfortabel en slaapt goed. Er was wel wat achterstallig onderhoud. Lampjes stuk, lampekap van de plafoniere, stopcontact stuk. Al met al als je een nachtje hier wilt slapen is dit een prima hotel om te verblijven.'

'Very nice property in a great location in the center of a very welcoming little town. Room was small, but had all conveniences and then some. In-house restaurant was excellent. Breakfast does not start until 8:30, not convenient for travelers getting an early start.'

We were very pleasantly surprised; the property is beautiful architecturally, the hosts were really gracious and welcoming, and the breakfasts were wonderful. Murphy's is a little foodie haven with a bunch of local cellar doors open to the public, and historic goldrush era buildings in the surrounding villages.
