'Nice location, personnel was friendly (I arrived after 11 pm and although the kitchen closes at 10.30pm, they allowed me to order something), nice, big (and very clean) rooms, free internet, excellent breakfast. Two minor points (and those are absolute details): it was dark in the swimming pool (and couldn't find the lights) and there were no cabins to change around so you had to come down in your swimwear... but again, just details. 'Mooi hotel, oude stijl, netjes, schoon, helaas veel te warm in maand augustus, geen airco of ventilator. Dichtbij Bilbao, handige uitvalsbasis, dichtbij vliegveld dus vanaf 07.00u tot 23.30u regelmatig opstijgende of dalende vliegtuigen, behoorlijk veel lawaai. Ontbijt is prima, alleen niet te laat gaan, vanaf 10u is brood op.'

'Wat een mooie plek. Dicht aan het strand. Hele fijne kamers en een zeer relaxte sfeer. Qua service hebben we een dubbele ervaring. De man die ons incheckte was heel vriendelijk. Er was ook een dame die heel nors was. We waren wat vroeg, wat we wisten, maar toen we de koffers achter wilde laten deed ze geïrriteerd. Toen we de dag erop weg gingen en vroegen waar we de sleutel moesten laten was ze ook kortaf. Een gemiste kans! Maar verder zeker een aanrader!'

'Lovely casa rural, sympathetically restored to provide comfortable accommodation. Especially enjoyed the view of the goats from our room. Lots of information about what to see and do locally. We caught the train from Bermeo up the estuary to Gernika, a lovely trip.'
