'The villa was very well stocked and everything was in great condition, very clean. We loved having an air fryer and skillet. Bed was comfortable, lots of blankets pillows and towels were provided. Free access to laundry and laundry soap was great. They seem to be prepared for anything a guest may need including snorkel gear. Front porch area was great for morning coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed watching the planes take off. Also happy to have a hot shower! The bus doesn't run along the road so...

'Enjoy everything about the place love the beautiful mountains the view was breathtaking fresh air. And hearing the roosters alarm meeting the locals so lovely offering me a ride to the main road. 'Was a great place to stay. Nice to be away from the crowds of tourists. Plenty to do with the pool, canoes etc - there is a lot more sea life in the water than further up the lagoon. Desiree was so helpful and accomodating- nothing was too much trouble. The cleaning staff were excellent and very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.'

'A great place to stay. We were welcomed from arrival and our hosts were friendly and helpful. A small supermarket was only a 2 minute walk. We hired a 2 person scooter to get around and enjoy the island and this is a great way to explore. Snorkelling is a few kms away but fantastic. We would certainly recommend Tropical Sands and hope to go back some day '

'Ein absolut wunderbares Schmuckstücke auf Rarotonga. Die Villen sind mit sehr viel liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Es ist irgendwie alles klein und familiär aber man hat dennoch völlige Privatsphäre. Das Frühstück besteht aus Toasts, Käseaufschnitt, Eiern, Cornflakes, Milch, Kaffee und Obst und ist in der eigenen Villa verfügbar und wird regelmäßig aufgefüllt. Draußen gibt es Sitzgelegenheiten um zusammen zu Essen oder zu Trunken und die hauseigene Tapasbar ist jeden Tag ab 16...

'Easy walk to store for essentials and water. The property was very clean. Much more spectacular than photos showed. Beautiful sunrise at the beach is a must. Great lanai to visit with friends or just relax. Very friendly animals. Property arranged transport for my late arrival. Very seemless entry with great communication! '

'Hidden gem - you would never know it was there. Very peaceful and well laid out units. Extremely clean and tidy. Great to arrive and the unit has tea/coffee decent size milk, and enough toilet paper etc to get you goj g for a couple of days (especially when you arrive on a Sunday) 2 minute walk to dairy / vili burger. 'Muri is a lovely location but if you hire a car or a scooter every place is just as convenient as another. It all depends on what kind of service you want.'

The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium

"Goed: Beste locatie van Rarotonga met prachtige lagoon om te snorkelen met mooie tropische vissen en murenes. Kamers op zich prima, wat verouderd, maar wel super schoon. Slecht: Deels verouderd. Restaurant is verschrikkelijk en zeer ongezellig. Eten zeer matig en niet 4* waardig. Keuken ziet er niet schoon uit ook. Ga lekker bij het restaurant aan de overkant eten, veel beter en enthousiaste eigenaar. Cocktails zijn kant en klaar en niet te zuipen. Ontbijt is ok, maar kan ook een kwaliteitseis upgrade gebruiken. Veel ziet er om 0900 niet meer vers uit. Omgeving zwembad niet schoon (zwembad zelf wel) en gevaarlijke putjes voor kinderen. Waterpark kapot en onveilig. Veel kokosnoten in bomen pal boven ligbedjes, heel gevaarlijk. Ligebedden hebben geen kussens zoals op de foto’s. Veel ongebruikte ruimten. Het slechte is dat bovengenoemde al jaren in de reviews staat, maar blijkbaar neemt het management deze niet serieus omdat klanten toch wel blijven komen. Advies: neem een goede hotel manager aan, knap de boel echt een keer op en neem feedback serieus, vernieuw je restaurant, neem een goede chef-kok aan en maak het aantrekkelijk voor gasten. Jammer want je kan hier een fantastisch resort van maken op zo’n locatie. Ondanks alles wel een prima verblijf gehad hoor, dus ga er gerust heen. "
