'Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. '

'Een mooi statig hotel met aantrekkelijke prijzen. Mijn kamer was prima ingericht voor mijn doel: wandelen. Dus er waren bijvoorbeeld rekjes om spullen te laten drogen. Verder alles wat je normaal verwacht plus een zwembad en whirlpool. En een heel vrolijke mevrouw die het ontbijt regelt. Een heel mooi begin van mijn volgende dag.'

'This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Amthweight Hall, the accommodation was excellent, as was the staff, they couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was 10 out of 10, and again, very helpful, as my wife wanted her coffee a paticular temperature, and strength, they bent over backwards to make her perfect cup of coffee !! The grounds and the building, are kept immaculate. The Spa facilities, again 10 out of 10, gym, sauna, steam room, plunge pool, swimming pool and outside hot pool, plenty...

'Very average. Overall a nice pub area. Checkin was rushed. No parking nearby and confusing as to which car parks allowed overnight parking. Carpets were filthy and didn't look like they had been hoovered in a week. Breakfast was fine. '

'Een zeer charmant hotel in typische UK-stijl. Alles was top! Ik kan dit hotel zeker aanbevelen. Ook een ideaal hotel voor mensen die hun hond graag mee op vakantie nemen. En een ideale plaats als vertrekpunt voor tal van wandelingen. Enige minpuntje is dat er geen airco op de kamer is. Maar dat is in de meeste manors niet te vinden. 😉 Dus enkel bij zeer tropische temperaturen zou ik een andere locatie zoeken. '

'Niet te doen. Wat een oude zooi. Wel een ruime kamer en goed bed maar eigenlijk alles verder is slecht. Heel warm, bedompt en niet fris. En vooral heel heel heel veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Niet boeken tenzij je zelf graag tot laat op stap gaat. Wij dachten lekker in het centrum op loopafstand van de stad, maar dat viel dus tegen. Hadden beter naar de recensies moeten kijken. Ontbijt was ook niet best, weinig keuze en vieze warme ‘kantine’. Snel vergeten, is het geld niet waard. Receptioniste...
