'The first room I got the toilet wasn't clean, so they changed me. Still, it could be cleaner, but it was acceptable. The staff was amazing! Very welcoming and kind. Comfortable bed and very silent inside. Although it is in the middle of nowhere you can easily get Uber and so many lovely villages and nature around. It's worth it!'

'Helaas werd ik rond middernacht wakkergebeld door de receptie. Daarna werd ik nogmaals rond 5u en daarna rond 5u30 wakker van een ritmisch luid gebons. Mijn collega die in de kamer naast me sliep had last van hetzelfde.
Voor de rest was het ontbijt beetje teleurstellend, de lunch was wonderbaarlijk uitstekend. Het imposante en bombastisch hotel is helaas een beetje gedateerd.'

Examples: 1. Window could not be opened (broken rope), 2. carpet worn out, 3. iron not performing optimally, 4. doorlock from inside not stable, 5. shower equipment not properly tightened, 6. too much noise at ceiling level from other guests, 7. wifi signal too weak in the room, 8. room not properly cleaned when arriving.'

'I was kept fully informed of the check-in procedure (there si no desk), room information and even warnings about local road closures by email from Karen.
The room was marvellous; clean, spacious and with a very shiny bathroom. The bed was the best I've slept in for ages and the quiet made for an excellent night's sleep. A lovely touch was the porridge pot and pain au chocolat left out for breakfast.
The setting is spectacular; high above Sowerby Bridge with stunning views across the valley. '
