'After check in at 23:00 at night no food no drinks available at all. The guy from the reception was not allowed to serve a drink from the bar; even though there was no staff … strangr for a 4 Star hotel. The hotel is new, fresh and modern with spacious rooms and nice but simple breakfast. Top location, 100 meters in front of the airport. '

Area seemed a little sketchy, but the hotel reception is open 24/7, monitored security cameras everywhere, private, open air parking lot across the street. Nowhere in the US can you find something this clean, convenient, comfortable and modern for under $180/night (we paid $58 here without breakfast), and I recently drover across the US from CA to Philadelphia. 'The room was large, the bed was relatively comfortable. There were only 2 flat pillows, which made it a bit uncomfortable for two people. The air-conditioner was fine. Breakfast was very good, better than most other hotels we stayed at on this trip. There was a free secure parking in front of the hotel - very convenient. The hotel is on the river bank and there is a park across the river. A walk through the park gets you to the old town.'

'I suspect this is a totally refurbished Communist-era hotel but it has been refurbished magnificently. It is just over the river from the Central Park and just below the wooded Belvedere, creating a quiet, almost non-urban setting. It is an easy 10 minute walk to all the sights in Cluj and there is a bus stop with a goodconnection to the train station just beside the main entrance. Breakfast was sumptuous and generous too.'
