'Stayed here 2 nights in order to do activities in the surrounding area. Great location with shops and food a short walk away and not too from orangutans and airport. Breakfast was lovely and staff we're extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend.'

'Bolig:Super, skøn, autentisk træhytte, hvor man får følelsen af at bo midt i regnskoven. Restaurant: særdeles hyggelig med en fantastisk atmosfære. Mad og drikker er velsmagende og til en fin pris . 'Staff are exceptional - friendly, kind, helpful. There's nothing fancy about the place, but nothing fancy is needed, given the surroundings. I especially enjoyed my balcony with the fan. Breakfast is decent and it's only a 20 min walk to the orangutan rehab centre and 5 mins to the rainforest discovery centre.'

'Johnathan and all of the staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Sorting and booking trips for us, helping us with local tips etc. The b and b is in the middle of the jungle, so please bear that in mind when you book, but is good value for the money.'

'Een heerlijke plek als uitvalsbasis voor de oerang oetang en sunbear conservatory en wat verder weg Kunabatangan river. Prachtige bungalows midden in het groen rond een mooi meertje. Kamers zijn prachtig met alle faciliteiten. Echte luxe in de jungle, aanrader!'

'Niet heel luxe, maar op loopafstand van het urang utan reservaat ligt sepilok forest edge resort. Mooi dek waar je heerlijke gerechtjes kunt eten en verse sappen drinken. Huisje zelf is basic maar oke. Als bonus een klein zwembadje!'

'We made a booking for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were told that they were full, despite our booking confirmation. We had to wait for 3 hours (welcome drink arrived after 2 hours) to be told that the only options were to stay in a dorm (for price of double room!!) or to go on a trip with them for the full price! Wow, bad managed. Even more, we checked the rooms online and they still had some higher class rooms available. They obviously didn't want to offer that and kept on saying they were full...

'It's a piece of luxury in an interesting place - don't let the exterior building fool you. You can be walking into another world in Sandakan and Hotel Sandakan is a sanctuary amongst it. The staff emulate the local Sabahan hospitality and friendliness, I will stay again next time.'

'For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. The hotel is near the Central Market, Harbour Mall & the promenade plus local shops but don’t get...

'stay was good hotel was new overall its good. The only negative comment i had was the lights at the walkway. It was dark after you exit the lift to your room. Lights was not on except for night only. During the day it was also dark as not much sun light was entering. Other than that its all good.'

'The stay was good, because it was quite and the location is very convenient for my business trip. Foods is easy to get, supermarkets is just steps away. It has plenty of parking space after working hours. Love the small fridge which can keep my drinks cold. Some disappointment as well, I don't like the smell of the room because the window was locked for safety purpose, I would like to have some fresh air if they can do that. I don't think they vacuum the carpet because I didn't see them do...
