'Check in on arrival was good, staff were friendly. Unfortunately there was a problem with firsty no hot water on the first morning and then water was a dribble from the taps and shower on the second morning recessed it was just an issue on the 5th floor. Window in the room did not lock so kept blowing open in the wind all night. Hotel room was nice a big and clean. '

'Was initially given a room with partially completed maintenance and a door that did not lock. Had to move room which was much better. Overall the Grand Hotel needs some serious TLC and is currently not so grand. We wouldn’t consider it good value for money.'

'Gorgeous hotel, I will definitely stay again. My children and I enjoyed being here. The bar/lounge is great as is the impressive reception. Really good food and service from staff. Our room was a little bit dated but did not faze us. As the beds were super comfy and we had a bath and shower which was good. Overall had a great experience.'

'The hotel is gorgeous! Our room was perfect, lots of space and mostly very clean. The only bit that wasn’t was the balcony so when we stepped onto that, as it was a beautiful Easter weekend we then put the dirt onto the carpet. Sunday lunch was lovely, the room we had it in was dog friendly and they were lovely to our boys (spaniel and GSD). We then went for a walk and a drink. I do wish we were allowed to take the dogs into the lounge or they had another area as we spent all our time in the...

'It is an excellent location, beautiful sea view rooms overlooking south bay, close to local amenities, there is a lift to take you down to the seafront and back again, only cost £2.50, I recommend it for the view. Rooms are serviced every day, great friendly staff, great restaurant and it’s dog friendly too, don’t take my word for it! Just go and enjoy 😊 '

'Tired and in need of care and refurbishment. Parking limited and not easy access. Room showing signs of damp in bathroom. Entry door damaged and needed repair to gain access. Plus side hot water supply very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Disappointed after good cooked breakfast at the weekend Monday morning continental breakfast, which consisted of dry, stale mini croissants and pain au chocolat, no chese or cold meats(available at the weekend) and hot drinks machine not working. '
