'It is unique and in a nice setting. We stayed in mid winter and it had a damp smell. There were possoms and or rats in the ceiling.'

'It was definitely a unique stay. Just keep in mind that the deeper in the ship you go, the colder it gets. However, the duvet and blankets they provide are plenty warm, and there are extra heaters provided, plus some electric blankets I think. People complained about the diesel smell, while present, it faded away for me after a while, it wasn't overpowering or anything. '

'Great host and property overlooking the town. There are even animals like sheep, Shetland pony, and horses that we fed and petted. Very comfortable accommodations and thoughtful snacks and other items were provided to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Great place to stay in Te Kuiti. Highly recommend.'
