'The manager was so wonderful and helpful. I would recommend this motel to any travelers. It was centrally located to most of the sightseeing in the North Island, kiwi house, glow worm caves, geo thermal geysers, botanical gardens, shopping and places to eat. Our bed was very comfortable, the other 2 which the kids used were too soft for them so we took them back to their tiny house. Check in and check out was extremely easy. I give these accommodations a 10 plus.'

'We stayed here with our 2 kiddos ages 10 & 12. It was clean and cute and the kids were totally blown away by the experience of staying in a hobbit house! It definitely has a motel vibe, and the kitchenette is small, but there were some decorating touches that really added to the hobbit feel. The owners provided space heaters that were really nice to have, but the bunk room definitely developed a musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of. The property is really pretty to walk around and super close...

'The surrounding is beautiful and close bye everything where we came for. Many lamps didn’t work. There were no pictures of the 2 sleeping eras below in the ship on the information site. They had no comfort and had not a pleasant smell, what keep some of us awake. All in all much too expensive what we got!'

'We really enjoyed the repurposed train car, it was just right for 2. It also has a bedroom for 3 more, but given the 1 bath, our 2 were enough. Walking distance to both principal restaurants and market, as well as glow worm cave. Very pleased to have stayed here.'
